Years after the death of Robert Neville (Will Smith), the world remains shrouded in darkness as the infected still roam the ruins of civilization. However, a small group of survivors has managed to develop partial immunity to the virus, thanks to Neville’s final research. They have established a safe zone in the heart of New York City, desperately trying to rebuild what was lost.

Among the survivors, a young scientist named Daniel Carter (Michael B. Jordan) believes that the key to humanity’s survival lies in Neville’s lost research.
When their safe zone is attacked, Daniel embarks on a dangerous journey to retrieve what remains of Neville’s work from his abandoned laboratory. Along the way, he makes a shocking discovery—Neville might still be alive. Captured and held by an advanced faction of Darkseekers, Neville has been kept as a prisoner, forced to help them refine the virus to suit their own dark agenda.
